IB, or TOS?
Thank you.

You mention stock (or index) options. Money barely supports options.
it knows nothing of multileg positions such as spreads. You can not
even add a memo without Money telling you that you will upset the
position if you edit the memo field. I am using M06 and had M03 and
nothing has changed in M06 that I used in M03 but I do not try to use
a lot of the different views.

There are other problems such as options that change tickers due to
some event such as a merger. Can't get the update right. Options are
not forever so I live with it.

Only reason I use Money is for its ability to contain many different
financial accounts in one place and I can use it without being
connected to the universe.

If you are looking for better options accounting I suggest one of the
options specialized brokers such as OX, IB, or TOS. I assume you know
else I can spell them out.

I am just a user like you. For $20 Money does not have to be a CPA or
tax accountant or portfolio manager.

If that's your goal, this is the last place to look for an answer.

I am looking to manage PERSONAL transactions. This is what Money and Quicken
supposed to do and what Microsoft or Quicken advertised. This specific
problem was discussed before and according to MS Tech. support supposed to be
fixed.
I am just trying to find out when.
Thanks.

This has been discussed before and the answer is that MS Money and
Quicken are not investment grade software packages. Find a good
broker who will furnish you with what you want. They exist.

Money and Quicken are personal money management packages. There is a
difference. They are also marketing packages selling advertising.

So far I got from MS Tech support only:

"...Additionally, based on the feedback of our Product Group, in the Money
2006 program, if we record transactions for Stock Options using the dates
later than the expiration date, the stock options may be invisible in the
Portfolio Manager after they are closed in the Money data file. This is a
known
issue in Money 2006 program, and our Product Group is working hard on
resolving the issue as soon as possible."
Still trying to find solution. Do you have it?

Default Bug in a Money 2006 Portfolio Manager!!!

I am experience the bug in a Money 2006 Premium.
I am using MS Money 2006.
My Problem: "Portfolio Manager" (PM) doesn't show all closed transaction
compare to "Investment Transactions" (IT). Many closed Investments
transactions for Buy/Sell stocks and options from IT don’t show up in PM. I
have multiple accounts from the different brokers, like Ameritrade, eTrade,
BrownCo, Merrill Lynch.
Its effect all of them.
I do have turn ON and OFF and ON again "Show Closed Transactions" and "Show
closed accounts". I did run File-> Fix Money File-> Quick and Standard - it
doesn't fix anything.
I used MS Money versions from 2002 to 2006.
This problem starts only with 2006.
I found many of post about problem similar to my.
I found kind of fix for this problem - if I delete one part of the invisible
closed Trans, (like delete "Sell to Close") and manually add it back, this
close trans. became visible in PM and all trans. for this stock or option. To
fix problem for all other invisible in PM closed trans., I have to repeat
delete/re-create steps again for each one of them. It shouldn't work like
this. PM should match IT if I select "Show Closed Transactions".
Anybody from Microsoft here - do you have a fix for this problem?

Thanks.
