| It sounds like the Money 2004 exe file had been updated. Thus the old money file was running using a newer version of Money than the one that was just reloaded. Thus when user re-installs Money, the first thing that must be done is open some file (Sample or new) that was created using the original version so that Money can ask for the update. What Money needs to do is prior to opening a file check for updates. This has been a feature that MS Money developers have not recognized a need to handle.
