| I went into PreferredPayeeNames, however the (erroneous) translated payee name was only linked to a series of specific check numbers. The downloaded transactions in question were not check transactions, they are all loan payments in the form of electronic transfers (not check transactions) "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, DR support wrote: > > the erroneous payee is a specific payee we use (a business name) > Banking-> AccountTools-> Categories&Payees-> Payees-> PreferredPayeeNames > which shows how downloaded names are translated into Payees. > Record the Payee Name Variation(s) shown for that wrong payee. > Delete the entries that are not necessarily that wrong payee. > Then click on GoToPayeeRulesManager. Banking-> AccountTools-> Categories&Payees-> Payees-> PreferredPayeeNameswhich shows how downloaded names are translated into Payees. Record the Payee Name Variation(s) shown for that wrong payee. Delete the entries that are not necessarily that wrong payee. Then click on GoToPayeeRulesManager. Excluded Payee Names identifies words and phrases that should be ignored from the payee field (e.g., check, deposit). Add each word or phrase that were listed as a Payee Name Variation that you recorded. While you are at it, it is usually a good idea to select Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> ReplacePayeeNames.... You may want to set Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServices-> AddADescriptionToTheMemoField |
