groups.google.com is not searched by google.com. google.com searches the
web. groups.google.com searches the history of Usenet postings. Usenet
postings are not on web pages, per se. They came and most long since went
via NNTP.

Dick,

Thanks for your VERY helpful reply. I will try the "full uninstall,
de-register, re-install" approach.
I kind of feel like a dummy, but not entirely: I of course searched Google
for that phrase before coming to the forum, and it listed very few sites.
Not one Google Group site came up. Apparently either Google doesn't
automatically includes Groups in its searches, or I have configured it to
wrong somehow. I'll look into that.

No, this is not a long-time thing! It just started recently. I've been a
happy camper with Money 97: "If it ain't broke..."

Gee. That's a hard one. Almost nobody shows up here still using M97.
Although I understand and sympathize with avoiding versions after M97, this
may be a hard one to solve and still stay on M97. I take it this just
started happening recently? You haven't been putting up with this for almost
ten years now? I think all of the old knowledge base items have been
"expired" off the servers. There are only a few posts in the archive. I
don't see a fix, but didn't look for long. Try

Good luck!

Default Error message

I'm using Money 97. I use the program several times over a couple of weeks
and then, for no reason apparent to me, I get this error message:
"The path is not properly set up in the registry or has been moved after
running Money's Setup. Please reinstall Money. Otherwise, Money may not be
able to run properly."

After putting in the CD and choosing "Repair" it works fine... until a
couple of weeks later and it happens again.

Suggestions?
