| Reference: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/889926/en-us It may be that the original Savings account is still linked to your bank and is hence already "online". Merge only combines an offline with an online account. -Mark "smikermat" <smikermat[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:445BCBF0-AD69-44B1-BA38-7AEE61F3CA87[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > I'm using Money Deluxe 2006, in fact I just installed it. | I'm using Money Deluxe 2006, in fact I just installed it. I have used MS Money for years; previous version was Deluxe 2005. I did a check for new online services for one of my existing accounts. It found new services, so I started going through the setup. After entering all of my account/personal info, it displays a screen entitled, "Confirm account type". It lists the account type (Savings) along with the correct last four digits of my account number and the correct balance. It then asks me to choose the account type from a drop-down listbox. I choose savings and click "Next". So far, so good. The next screen is entitled "Identify your existing accounts". It asks me "Are you already keeping track of any of these accounts in Money?" and then lists the one account I have at the institution: Savings. I choose "Yes" and click "Next". On the next screen, "Match duplicate accounts", is where things go haywire. The account details on the left are still correct. The Action column on the right has two radio buttons: The first says "This is a new account." and the second "This account is the same as:" and then gives me another drop-down listbox that SHOULD list my accounts. BUT, it only lists one: my Checking account. That is not even at the same institution. I've tried clicking the Back button and choosing different accounty types but nothing changes. What can I do to get around this apparent bug in the software? Thanks. |
