Scheduled bills will affect the budget. If the categories in question have scheduled bills, backdate the initial bill. Record the transaction, then delete it from the register if it's a duplicate, or if you have other reasons. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| Thank you for your prompt response! I see exactly what you are talking about concerning prior months data. The fixed budget amount applies for prior months but not for the current month for whatever reason. Do you know of any way I can fix this amount to show correctly for the current month? If so, please advise. This is the functionality that I desire from this software. If not, I'll have to try something else. Unreal!! manually entering an amount, rather than the budget amount being determined by a scheduled bill, those entered amounts sometimes do not apply until the subsequent calendar month. The Annual Budget report is where you can see that level of detail. The Monthly Budget report can actually show a whole year's (or any period's) budget. The difference between Annual and Monthly is that Annual has columns for each month, and Monthly is a single summary amount. I didn't name them, so don't ask me why. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| Chris Cowles & Support Group: Please elaborate on what you mean by examining the Annual Budget report? I'm having the same problem as Deepak Shenoy. I must admit that I am extremely frustrated at this point! I put in a budget amount of $500, and on the budget summary page, this category comes up with a budget value of 469.67! | Dear Support Group, I have entered a value in a budget group in Money 2005. When I view the budget in the edit mode it displays correctly e.g. $400. When I go to my report to see how I am doing against my budget is states a planned number that isn't the same e.g. $367.97. The actuals are fine but I cannot seem to see where the problem lies. I have deleted and recreated my budget but allas Money is not working correctly :-( |
