See http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;889930 and follow it if you want your Money file to use the same Passport on your Money file that you used when you bought Money. If you want something other than to do that, do something slightly different. Create a NEW empty file (named perhaps Temp.mny) that you put the referenced Passport onto. Let Money download data that it needs. Close Money. Restart Money. Confirm that Money shows the right version. Then click on your real Money file that is shown on the bottom of the File menu. |

| After posting, I read the reply to another message by MVP Cal Laerner. I uninstalled Money 2006 (Save copies of all your data files !) and reinstalled, using the instructions from http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;889930 and now, all is well. Thanks, Cal ! | After purchasing a downloaded version of TaxCut Deluxe, I also downloaded Money 2006 Standard, which will be free after rebate. It installed fine, upgraded my previous 2004 Standard version of Money, and initially opened and ran OK, but I now seem to have a trial version of Money 2006 Deluxe running, set to expire in 90 days. Will my existing version revert to Money 2006 Standard at the end of the trial period? In the meantime, I don't appreciate an opening screen nag telling me to purchase an upgrade to the upgrade I've already purchased! -- Scooter |
