I had data from 1997 to recover..it was a task but with my experience with
Money I was able to do it in about 2 hours.

Not easy, but finally done.

That depends on the type of data you've recorded, and how much you have. For
me, it was arduous but worthwhile. For you it was relatively easier and very
worthwhile. For others, that might not be the case.

Chris,

I took your advice and 2 hours out of my afternoon and I'm VERY pleased with
the results. It is much faster on all counts..even with the budget plugged
back in, the Bill Reminder full once again, and the tax estimator tools all
in place. The next step is tagging the Passport back in....maybe.

It is worth it to do a clean import...just time consuming.

If you're very knowledgeable using Money and have lots of time, you can
export everything and reimport into a new file. I did that and it made a
substantial difference.

This is not a small task. If remotely interested, search Google groups on my
name in this group with relevant keywords. If still interested after that, I
can answer some questions.

I did a Standard Salv, renamed the account, removed all the online/passport
connections and it didn't help it at all....

Default Money 2006 DX Budget Report..Slowww

So far, I'm finding M06 to be faster on loading, transaction entry, and
switching from the home page than MS Money 2005 ever was.

I've doubled the memory on the computer to 512MB DDR and everything else
runs faster...except Money.

However, when I run a budget report, it can take MINUTES to pop up the
results and it will even self-refresh, causing it to hang sometimes. Yes,
I'm in the minority that likes the Passport feature as we travel some and
don't always have access to the checkbook.

I've done the salv Quick and Standard repair and nothing speeds this part
up.

Any suggestions?
