Default Re: Performance of savings accounts

Well that's the crux of the problem... I would like to be able to download my
savings transactions and track the performance of this investment. There
doesn't seem to be a way to do both!

Create an investment account without a separate cash account. Call it
savings. Purchase a money market fund investment called 'Savings' with a
price of $1. As you earn interest, use 'Reinvest Interest'. Investment
reports will then show the returns.

Play around with it. You might have to use Reinvest Dividends, or maybe call
it a mutual fund.

If you use online banking for account updates, this scheme may interfere.

Backup.

Default Performance of savings accounts

One problem that I keep running into with Money is that it has a very clear
distinction between investment accounts and checking/savings accounts.

So far, I have not been able to find a way to get money to give me a
performance report on a savings account or to consider the savings account to
be part of my portfolio. When I want to check how well my investments did
over a year, I cannot get data about my savings accounts and so the data that
is given on my investment accounts does not account for my savings...
