You might want to do another File-> RepairMoneyFile-> QuickFileRepair
in case that straightens things out for you.

I did shorten up some account names. Now when I click on the PAYEE column
Money no longer quits but, all of the bills disappear. When I click on any
other column they reappear.

Are there any accounts with long name (doesn't have to be longer than 64
characters itself, since some of that space may be used by some of the
transfer phrasing, like the words "transfer to").

If you have an account name that is fairly long (say, longer than 40
characters) and if that account is referenced in a Bill, try renaming the
account (or accounts, if there are several) to shorter names to see if that
resolves this.

Otherwise, you may want to try Money's Repair options, export/import into a
new file, or contacting Microsoft Support.

characters.

Your symptoms do not be the same. However it would seem worth
checking to see if you have an account name or an investment name
that is longer than 64 characters.

My problem does not appear to be the same as the one described in kb 900969.
The KB article 900969 descibes a problem when clicking on the "BILLS" tab on
the Money home page. My problem is experienced once I am already on the Bills
summary page and I attempt to sort the bills by the PAYEE column. I click on
the PAYEE column and Money immediately quits without an error message. The
only column I can sort is the DATE.
Any other suggestions?

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900969/en-us symptoms are not the
same, but perhaps similar enough.
