While TDCanada Trust suggest that I change the settings in IE under tools/internee Options/advanced/scroll down to security and then put tick in don't save encrypted pages to disk. This allows it to be saved to where ever then all I have to do is click on it and it opens Money with it being imported right away. I will let you know what TD does for this problem. Phil |

I think you are saying you are downloading from the www.tdcanadatrust.com website. If you would like to select where that file should go instead of having it to into a temporary space, this should work: Start-> Settings-> ControlPanel-> FolderOptions-> FileTypes Select OFX-- Open Financial Exchange File . Click Advanced. Check Confirm Open After Download to get the pop-up box that gives you a choice. That does not make the work-around go away. It does let you investigate. |

I am hoping that TD soon changes/adds the time stamp to it's files. It was amazing to talk to their tech support department for the net, they had no idea what a .ofx file was, no idea how the downloaded files works into money or any other program. They did say it might be time to see how this software works. DUH I thought. At least I now know what has been the problem since November. Phil |

A way to work around this is to set your computer time zone to GMT before processing, and back to normal afterwards. I did as the KB article suggested. In the KB page it says to search for I further changed it to search all files and sub folders and nothing. Any further ideas where to locate these files? I have further contacted TD and passed this onto them. Thanks Phil |

| I have had a small problem with Money 2003 OEM version and the TD Canada Trust. Back in November TD made some changes to their banking software and the change to using .ofx files. Prior to that it is my understanding that they used .ofc files and when the standard was changed to .ofx TD followed the standard change. When I download the file and import it into Money 2003 it is out one day. For example I go to the store and use my debit card for say January 31 2006. When I go on line the bank shows it as January 31 2006. When i download the file (.ofx) from TD and import it into Money 2003 the entry shows "Bank Entry January 30th 2006" which is out one day. This isn't a big deal till I go and try and balance the account at the end of the month. It tries and adds in the amount from the first day of the next month because it is downloaded as the last day of the previous month. Now having said all this I have checked the date on my computer it is correct. I have checked the dat in Money and it is correct. I have read about archiving and yes I used to do that till i read about it. I reinstalled money and started a new account for this January and entered all my items and then downloaded the .ofx file from the bank and imported it and yes it is still out one day? Any suggestions? Thanks Phil Humour for the thinking person: 1) Why is it, when a door is open it's ajar, but when a jar is open, it's not adoor? 2) Why do we put suits in a garment bag and put garments in a suitcase? |
