If that does not let you updated, and if you are using XP, I would try creating a new user with Administrator privilege. Switch to that user and start Money with a new blank file but with the same passport you used to upgrade. Let Money download the updates as that user. The theory is that if the problem is an IE6 setting, you will get default settings for the new user. If you succeed this way, it would accomplish the download, and it would point toward the reason the other did not work. You can delete the new user later, and your regular IE6 settings will not have been changed. |

| I think I found the problem but I do not know how to fix it. I bought Money 2006 via download with a new .NET Passport since I did not remember the one that is on my Windows XP Home Edition Profile. I then tried to change the one on my Windows XP Profile but I was not allowed. The Wizard kept saying that the website was not found. So I wonder if that is the culprit in why I am not allowed to connect now to Money 2006. Anyone????? Could that be the problem? If so, Any Suggestions on rectifying this problem? |

| Hangs up exactly the same way. Won't let me access anything and the so-called download does nothing after 15 minutes. I do have DSL so any download should be almost immediate. -- fss "Dick Watson" wrote: - quote - > What does Microsoft say? > If you go to the folder you installed Money in, and double click on the > Sample file, what happens? > "fred" <fred[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:0BFBEACB-77CC-4AEF-BC34-2B7EDEF194E1[at]microsoft.com... > > 2006 installs but when opening can't get past update notification. I would try creating a new XP user with Administrator privilege.> locks. Does anyone have any suggestions other than what Microsoft says. I've > tried them all with no success. Switch to that user and start Money with a new blank file (Decline Passport). |
