| The Monthly Reports cannot be customized. Are you downloading these transactions? What Category are the transactions in question? Are they really Transfer:[name of receiving account]? | In monthly reports if I transfer money to my checking account from my savings account it shows up as an expense and as income in the report. The other problem I have is that individual charges on my discover card show up as expenses and again are taken off when I pay my discover card from my checking account. I can't find anywhere to customize the monthly reports. The customize under reports lets me not include discover in my accounts but it still shows up in monthly reports. | Hmm. Advanced * is only M05/06. You didn't say what version you were using, so I was guessing. Are you downloading these transactions? What Category are the transactions in question? Are they really Transfer:[name of receiving account]? Income and Spending customize Category tab has a check box for Include Transfers. Monthly Income and Expenses customize Rows and Columns tab has an option group for how to treat transfers. Spending by Payee customize Category tab has a check box for Include Transfers. Many other do as well. Please provide some more details like quoting a Transaction you don't want to appear and what report it appears in. | Sorry, I'm still on Money 2004. Can't find an advanced register. The customize reports doesn't seem to let me eliminate transfers without setting only on payments or deposits. | Oh, also, if you download transaction data from the institutions on either side of these transactions, see http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=147. | M05/M06? Essential Register? Category "Credit Card Payments/Transfer"? In Advanced Register, there is a special Category called "Transfer" and another called "Credit Card Payment". They are precisely for this purpose. Set Money to use Advanced Registers if you haven't already. Also see http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=167 re. the entirely bogus Expense Category called "Credit Card Payments/Transfer". Finally, some reports, in Advanced Reports, have customization choices that allow Transfers or Credit Card Payments (but not "Credit Card Payments/Transfer") to be included or excluded. You haven't given enough information to tell which of these paths is most appropriate. Hopefully, one of them gets you where you want to go.
