| Fred, I saw your post a few days ago and I know I have the same problem. I was working on other problems in my conversion to 2006 (deluxe trial), but finally got to this one. I know it's late, but here is what I have just found: When in Settings/Sounds, I found that the directory the sounds were being looked for is c:\Program Files\Microsoft Money\Media\Sounds. I also found that Money installed itself into c:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2006\... Cleaning up your registry probably deleted the old directory name, then re-installing put in the 2006 directory name. I don't like messing with the registry, so I don't know how I'll resolve this. I think Microsoft should have considered this in 2006, as I installed both the older (2002) and the 2006 versions with defaults. | Thanks for the suggestion even though I had already checked that. I ended up going into the registry deleting lots of stuff and then did a new reinstall. Finally, Money started showing up in the control panel sounds program. So, all is 100%. Thanks again for the suggestion. | Fred, Sorry if this sounds too simplistic - but it is a place to start. Check "Tools, Settings, Program Settings, Sounds" and make sure this box is checked and the specific sounds it is looking for with each Event are on your hard drive. - quote - > Just upgraded from MSMoney2005 to 2006. | Just upgraded from MSMoney2005 to 2006. All my event sounds are gone and I haven't been able to find a post about this problem. Are there any known solutions? Fred |
