That method will work if you're the only user, I believe. Should you share
the file with a partner, I think the process is that the most recently
updated file (by file modification date) will be the one that gets copied to
or from the laptop. If you updated the laptop copy this AM, and your partner
updates the desktop copy in the PM, the PM copy will overwrite the AM copy
and your changes will be lost.

This is not to dissuade someone, just pointing out a potential source of
data loss, should that condition not be anticipated.

Default RE: money 2006

I would fall into the "terrified" category of Dick's post!

I, too, us a laptop with Money 2006 installed on both the desktop and
laptop. I use the WinXP "Synchronize" capability to make sure the two copies
stay matched. From your laptop, browse back to your desktop and right-click
on the file your Money program is using. Select "Make Available Offline".
Then choose "Tools, Synchronize... on your laptop and choose the options that
are best for you.

Be careful, there's a hard limit on the total number and size of files that
can be 'synchronized' (it's in the GBytes). However, your Money file should
be much smaller than this limit.

Read up in help on Sync With The Web. You'll need a Passport. This stores
your Money data on one of Microsoft's Web servers. Many people are between
ambivalent an terrified about this.

Default money 2006

this weekend I installed money 2006 on my home laptop. I am traveling this
week out of town on company business and want to access my account from my
company laptop. Is this possible and how do I get to the sign in page.
