| Keep copies of all files before you go mucking--especially the file you are doing the import into. You will have to do all the imports for a given set of data that includes transfers in one import. Be sure and keep copies of your present ending balances as you will no doubt need to adjust account beginning balances as you import older transactions. | I have several money files going back to 1996. This is the the result of files becoming corrupted and my starting over with a new file. Some of these files cover several years and have had portions archived. I was thinking about deleting, say for example, all the transactions except those that occurred in 1996. Exporting these transactions and importing them into my current file. Then deleting all transactions except for those occurring in 1997. Exporting these transactions, etc. The idea being to create one file that has all transactions, hopefully error free, from 1996 to present. Any ideas? |
