| Yes, you are right about the risk. Roboform is my most important software security-wise. If some criminal gets my login info I am screwed bigtime. I am in favor of the death penalty for indentity thieves and other internet hackers who cause more grief and disruption to more people than murders. Could what you see in your log be Roboform checking for automatic updates or something like that? Can you tell from the log whether data is actually being sent from your computer to/from Siber.com? Thanks for the tip, I intend to run this down and find out what is going on. Thanks Bill, I'll give it a try. I've got the toolbar from Google that> Try Roboform for storing passwords, login info, card numbers and other info > for use when banking or shopping online. Discover has a nice little app that produces a virtual number for purchases but now my security package thinks it's spyware and I have to disable the real time spyware checking to be able to use it. It's always something! |

| Joan, Try Roboform for storing passwords, login info, card numbers and other info for use when banking or shopping online. One click and you can login securely to any site and one more click and the software will fill in long forms with your name, address, card no etc etc. All of your passwords are encrypted and super secure and you only have to remember one password to access everything. One of the best and most truly useful programs I have ever used. Moneyside is pathetic by comparison. | In answer to your questions. Gone for good? Probably. You are one of very, very few people to visit the NG who didn't find the thing somewhere between useless and downright creepy. Install from M02 CD? Probably not. It wouldn't know anything about an M06 file, even if it were separately installable. The interfaces it called in Money probably aren't even there anymore. | Hi, I know some considered this a pain, but today I went to use the browser plug-in Moneyside and it was gone. I didn't realize that upgrading to 06 would kill it. It came in handy when online shopping since I could store card info into it. Anyway to just install Moneyside from the 2002 disc? Joan |
