| Hi Group - Sadly MarketSpeed is no more - I really liked that fat client - best thing since Waterhouse PCFN. Was able to log right in to ET, but could any investor site blow worse (other than Ameritrade)? Does anybody know of any more fat clients similar to MarketSpeed still being offered? I will transfer my account as soon as I find something. | md, Are the online updates to the old HarrisDirect account still providing new activity or is it just successfully connecting and showing the old balance before the switch to etrade? | Yes, but according to Money help, if I do this I will LOSE all my history. I think, again according to Money help, the only way not to lose the history is by manually doing a merge. BE CAREFUL. |

| Since E*Trade has taken over, you can disable online services for the HarrisDirect account and then since it is now an "offline" account, you should be able to merge it with the proper E*Trade account. But you may have to do some clean up if there is duplication of transactions. Be sure to make a Backup copy of your Money file before doing this though. | Using Money 2006 Premium. Yes I have 2 e*trade accounts. One is the same as HarrisDirect. I dont know what to do with the old HarrisDirect account. I cannot merge these accounts since they are both updating online. "johnbusc[at]hotmail.com" wrote: - quote - > md, > Not sure I understand your problem! | md, Not sure I understand your problem! It appears you previously had a Harris account and an etrade account. Now you have two etrade accounts. Is this right? If so, how many accounts are now setup in Money to represent these two accounts? What version of Money are you using? Regards, JB md wrote: - quote - > HarrisDirect has been taken over by e*trade. | HarrisDirect has been taken over by e*trade. So how do I proceed. I had auto updating with HarrisDirect. With e*trade I already had an account that was also auto updating. (I mean updating manually...no passport). When I updated today, e*trade found my new account because I had linked the new and the old e*trade accounts under my old user name. Now what do I do? |
