| Good to know that there is at least one new good thing in M06. Now I wonder if Vanguard indexes for OFX by CUSIP as well as ticker and name. Thank you. |

| Not quite right - beginning with 2006, Money will update securities via CUSIP but only if the financial institution provides the data in its OFX file. I have some providers that do provide that info (and it's wonderful), but others that don't. -- Michael Gordon MVP "XB77" <XB77[at]My-Deja.com> wrote in message news:11sd2o2ul3du4b[at]corp.supernews.com... - quote - > In my experience, in the absence of a recognized symbol, a CUSIP number, > despite being a "more definitive" reference and having an entry place in > the Money security setup, doesn't help get quotes or help with a sync to > the security info downloaded from the broker. | In my experience, in the absence of a recognized symbol, a CUSIP number, despite being a "more definitive" reference and having an entry place in the Money security setup, doesn't help get quotes or help with a sync to the security info downloaded from the broker. (In my case, obscure OTC bonds, Vanguard, and M04 Deluxe.) I don't think that Money does anything with the CUSIP number but keep it for the user's reference, which is a shame. Of course, it may be that most brokerages or web based quote servers don't index by CUSIP, but I doubt it. |

| Hello, I have Money 2006 Deluxe and am entering two new investments that are causing me fits. 1) A bond. I have the CUSIP number and I enter it in the Investment Details section. However, it will not track this bond. I can track it at Fidelity etc but not via money. Has any one had htis problem? Can I track a bond by CUSIP? 2) A Managed Portfolio. I have a 529 (college fund) for my son. It is a managed fund - sort of like an index. It also has a CUSIP and has a daily price. How can I enter such an investment in Money? Kind Regards, Craig |
