| This is a stupid and arbitrary limit that crept into Money somewhere along the way. Nobody here has a clue why it crept in. Roll the date on your PC back to 1/9/2003 or whatever. Enter what you need. Roll it forward. If you just searched Google. I'm not surprised you didn't find a solution. Try searching group microsoft.public.money in http://groups.google.com. I bet you find this there. "Christoph Boget" <jcboget[at]yahoo.com> wrote in message news:O$b8IyYFGHA.1424[at]TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... - quote - > So I'm wondering, what's going on?! | I just recently got Money 2006 and I'm entering transactions for the past year and one of the transactions I'm setting up is for a car loan. When entering the information for the transaction, it took me through a wizard to set up my car loan. I went through that all well and fine. However, the problem I am having is that it will not let me enter past dates. My loan was taken out in 2003 with my first payment occuring in 7/2003. And for some reason, Money 2006 will not allow me to enter the 2003 date. It insists that I enter the first payment date for this year. Ok, fine. So I did that but when I look at the amortization schedule, it shows my loan actually beginning on that date and continuing from there for the whole 60mos thereafter. Now, while that is a problem, what is even more so is that now I can't enter a loan payment for this loan prior to the date of the first payment of this year. So I'm wondering, what's going on?! Why can't I specify a past date? This is going to be even more of an issue for my mortgage which is now almost 6 years old. Any help anyone can provide would be most appreciated. I've searched google but wasn't able to come up with a solution. thnx, Christoph |
