| I print an average of four or five checks a month with very few problems. I use the laser wallet stock but will not go this way again. If I ever run out of check stock or change accounts, I'll go with the one-check-per-sheet stock. Saves lots of hassle associated with printing partial sheets. Don't buy expensive check stock. Go to somebody like http://www.checksunlimited.com. It is not complicated to setup--simply tell Money were to print and setup transactions to print. About the only other settings are alignment settings that adjust Money to the printer to the stock. Even in the null settings, you will probably align +/- 1/8" in all directions. Set it up on plain paper and hold the plain paper and stock up to the light to see how close it is. You can then go back and remove the check number from the transaction and put Print back in. Note I am speaking from experience with the non * Business* editions from Mv3 to M06. I can't imagine the * Business* editions are much different but sometimes Money does things I couldn't imagine. I have also never had multiple accounts printing at the same time. I suspect Money deals with this, but have no experience. I do know that the personal editions do NOT support more than one set of alignment settings. Assuming the stock is well aligned, this shouldn't matter. | I am thinking about buying Money, but need to know how complex it is to set check printing. I was using QuickBooks Pro, but quit after buying the expensive check stock and failing three times to print checks. I use an HP5510 All-in-One inkjet printer. Has anyone been sucessful setting up check printing in Money? What version would you recommend (30 checks/month max, three bank accounts from the same bank - two companies, one personal) Thanks! -- jetcoots |
