The same can be accomplished, and more tightly associated with your salary,> deposit of $56.46 on the same day as your paycheck needs to be added to > your scheduled bills & deposits. There is already any income category for > this, so Money will categorize it properly. but adding both an income entry and a transfer out entry to the after-tax tab on your paycheck. The income entry should be categorized as 'employer matching' or something similar, and is negative. The transfer out portion should go to the cash account for target 401k, and is positive. The effect on the paycheck is neutral, it captures the matching income, and creates a deposit in the 401k. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| Ever since I upgraded to Money 2006 Deluxe from Money 2003. My 401k contributions are overdrawn each week after on-line updating, by $56.46. This amount is my employer before tax match to one of my funds. This match is not reflected on my paycheck. So changing my pretax deduction on my paycheck changes my totals. The fund totals are correct each week. What am I missing, I think I looked at everything? This week I had to make an extra deposit of $56.46 into my 401k contribution list to balance the file to $0.00 |
