Try restoring an earlier backup, and see if the problem exists in
that file. You can restore to a different filename so as to not
overwrite the file you have been working with.

If you cannot resolve it otherwise, I would consider QIF export and
restore to a new file.

If you don't have backups that go back far enough, I would increase
the number of backups to keep in the future for after you get things
working again:


In M06: Tools-> Settings-> BackupSettings
I suggest checking
x Automatically backup my Money file every time I close Money
Save in [a place on your hard drive ]
x Ask me before backing up each time*
x Compress Backup Files
Keep only the _20_most recent backup files [adjust to taste]

Cal,
I am also having problems viewing downloaded statements. I have done a
quick and standard file repair. Nothing. If I try to delete the statements
as you mentioned earlier, it gives me an error "This operation cannot be
performed" (Event ID 34) - and recommends repairing the file. My banks are
not third party. My "ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound " is
checked. As for what kind of download I am using, not sure how to determine
that. I think that's all the questions you previously asked.
So, any advice? Thanks again for your time.

So did you go to
Tools-> Settings-> OnlineServiceSetting and select
ShowStandardizedPayeeNamesForWhichANameIsNotFound, and re-download?

I am also having the smae problem. I have gone through all of the "Methods"
to resolve the problem- but no dice. MY Invest ment transaction import just
fine, but my Bank data and Amex is having the same problem posted here.
Mainly want to post this so MS have more evidence of the bug in 2006 Delux.
It sucks!

tried standard repair, went back to file backup before problem, two accounts

One more Thing MS support provided.

If you have a back up file that was working fine (means before collapsed
online files) you can downloaded the statement properly!!

Hope you guys would resolve the issue.

1. I email this problem with group posts. MS Money support suggested me to
call them at 1-866-834-8741. Connected within 2 mins.

2. Explain this matter. Set up new account to test to my bank ( CITI Bank )
statement file don't have a damaged data. Then successfully downloaded.

3. Go back to My file ( My MONEY )
Account List > Right Click On the " Read to review items (123) " > Select "
DELETE Statement "

4. File > Repair My Money File > Quick Repair

5. Download Statement again

6. My case unsuccessfully review the statement

7. File > Repair My Money File > Standard Repair > File selected (My Money)

This has been a problem with money for years, many many years, delete
temporary folders, repair, rebuild file, etc. It comes and goes and Microsoft
doesn't care to fix it. Most people believe it is due to the size of the
files. As well, if you read the posts over the years, it is a corrupt
download and it just gets worse and worse. Usually it disappears when you
buy the next version, so I noticed that 2007 is out or almost out, probably
means I will buy it and fix my items to review not being found.

Newsgroups keep, at best, 90 days of posts. So we have no way of seeing what

Cal,
I made the changes you suggested and nothing changed.

I then deleted the unread statements from the account view (to the far right
of the account name) and then attempted to re-download. Now nothing is being
downloaded.

I am using a direct connection with Wachovia, I believe using OFX.

I am going to attempt to download a qif file next and see if that takes..

At this time, I have removed 2006 and went back to 2005, and I'm not
having any problems. I still am wondering if it's a problem with the
downloaded data from the bank, and when I get some time to
troubleshoot, I will call the bank's support number and start there.
