If your bank offers web downloads but does not offer direct banking, perhaps> I have to go to my bank's website and select the download for Money. > Don't have to do that with the credit cards. it's accessible within Money if you enter a Passport in the file. That enables a third party, Yodlee or CashEdge, to download the data on your behalf from your bank's web site. That also stores your financial data on Yodlee's and/or Microsoft's servers. Some users don't like that. Some have problems with it. Others are successful and satisfied. Your mileage may vary. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| Thanks for the replies. I found it, it was essentially a download error. I have to go to my bank's website and select the download for Money. Don't have to do that with the credit cards. No, but it's high on the list. Right up there with BP on most days.> message news:%23FkNMgOEGHA.1736[at]TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl... > > Downloaded transaction data is unreliable? > Downloading is not the source of all evil. How about an error as simple as > View: Current Year in the register? The view setting is surely another possibility. The view settings for the account may be somehow inconsistent with the data. Let's ask the OP: Hey Michelle: How are the transactions for your checking account, which do not appear, getting in the account register in the first place? Are you accepting transactions for the checking account that you don't subsequently see in the register? How about for your other accounts where the transactions do appear? Have you checked the register view settings? Is it set to show current year only or to only show unreconciled transactions? If the latter, do you have the setting enabled for automatically marking downloaded transactions as reconciled? |

| The transactions on my checking account do not appear in Money. All other transactions, for other accounts, do appear. What would be the cause of this? Michelle |
