| When you say "future scheduled payments" do you mean recurring APAYs setup in Bills & Deposits? Those shouldn't have any effect on your Account List or Account Register balances, so if that's what you mean, then I don't understand your question. If, when you say "future scheduled payments" you mean a scheduled EPAY; that's just like a check you print or write and put in the mail. The mail will get delivered when you scheduled it to. But the check is absolutely "in the mail" and in the check register. Therefore it reflects in the Account List and Favorite Accounts balance--which is final balance. If you look in the Account register you can see final balance and today's balance. | Understood. However, is there a way to have my account balance in the account list section show the current balance and not future scheduled payments? | Unreconciled only means that the item hasn't come back from the bank (downloaded) as a completed transaction or been balanced against a paper statement. It's like a check that's in the mail. Just like in a check register for the check that's in the mail, the balance at the bottom of the register reflects the entry whether its been paid by the bank or not. | Thanks Chris. Did the second part of my questions make sense? Let me know if you would like me to clarify more. The value of that is for bills that vary, such as credit card payments or utilities. What you're thinking of is called an APAY in Money. Note the distinct first letter. When you schedule that in Money, it schedules it at your bank. In fact, if you schedule it in Money then disable online banking, it remains scheduled at your bank. An Apay is somewhat limited in scheduling options, and must be the same amount for each payment. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| Hello, Currently I'm using Money 2005 Deluxe. I'm having difficulties, I believe, setting up a recurring payment in the bill summary section. Even though the bill has a scheduled frequency of monthly using EPAY as the payment method when I view the pending transaction on my bank's website (Fifth Third Bank) it only shows up as being a single payment. Will Money automatically send another payment to my bank as the next month's bill approaches or am I doing something wrong? In addition, after setting up the payment, my checking account balance reflects the future payment even though it is marked as unreconciled. Is there a way around this? Thanks in advance for any help regarding these issues. |
