Make an extra copy or backup of your file in case there is something
you want to undo.

I think you may have to turn off background banking first at
Tools-> Settings-> AccessYourMoneyDataOnTheWeb and then at
File-> PasswordManager you can choose to remove your Passport.

Adding a Passport to your file was optional.

You could turn off background banking and remove your Passport,
assuming that your bank has direct OFX access.

Default 2006 Deluxe - Do I have to signon to passport?

Have been a very happy user of Money 2004 for two years. With it I could
directly download my bank transactions without accessing passport first. I
like everything else about 2006 but it forces me to logon to passport before
it will access my bank account. All I want to do is connect without passing
my financial info thru this passport connection and the supposely secure
network at Microsoft. If I forget to disconnect my internet conection after
I'm done downloading my transactions, my disk drive is churning at a
repeatable frequency, when I go offline it stops. Do I have to go back to
2004? Or is there some setting I'm missing in the setup or account options.
