| It worked okay for me out of the box. However, it is now updated to Revision 3. | I have Quicken 2003, Quicken 2004 and Money 2004. Money is slow and cumbersome, Quicken 2004 is full of bugs. Quicken 2003 is the best of the lot. | Frank, Thanks for your thoughts. Interestingly enough, converting my old QW6 to Money 2004 was pretty painless. It won't surprise me that Q2004 will convert my QW6 files pretty painlessly too. But folks with more recent versions seem to be the ones complaining about conversion problems. Go figure. IAC, after reading both here and over on the Quicken group, I don't expect either program to be flawless. My expectations are that Q2004 will be a major improvement over QW6, but I'm not sure that will be the case as I've had little or no problems with QW6 and I imagine the bloat associated with the new versions may bring it's own share of problems. I've had a few burps with Money 2004, but overall am pretty pleased with it. Still, I wanna sample Q2004. sigh. | See my question posted yesterday. Although most banks support manually downloading a transaction file, some banks don't support the automatic download. For instance Bank Of America here only supports automatic downloading for QUicken, not MS-Money. According to some of the replies I received on my original posted question, so banks offer one but not the other. This is a show stopper for someone who relies on automatic downloads like me. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Crazy as the idea may be, I'm considering buying Q 2004 and running it > alongside Money 2004 for a comparison. | I too am a Quicken convert. However, I have found many problems using Money 2004, (Most which are solvable by going through all the help articles and posting questions on this forum). As a result of these problems cropping up I am running Quicken 2003, (I don't think I will update to Quicken 2004 at this time) and Money 2004 simultaneously and comparing the two as the online updates take place. There is no problem in doing so. | Crazy as the idea may be, I'm considering buying Q 2004 and running it alongside Money 2004 for a comparison. I figure if the Sam's Club deal works, getting Money 2004 for $2.76 plus tax is a pretty good deal. ![]() But being an old Quicken user, it's been hard to shake the idea of giving Q2004 a run, so I think I'm gonna take OfficeMax up on their special and try it. Are there any special considerations I need to know about in order to do this? Thanks (in advance). |
