Default RE: Money 2006 from Quicken 2005

Hope this helps. I had a similar problem with Q2005---> M2006. 10yrs of
data. My problem was the password for my Qkn data file. You have to open
the Qkn file, and remove the password protection for the file. I then
validated the file, and had no problem with the conversion. I hope your
problem is as simple as the password, but the documentation on this is not
clear at all. You MUST remove the Qkn password before a conversion can take
place. Good luck, hope this helps.

Default Money 2006 from Quicken 2005

I downloaded and installed the Money 06, 90 day trial and tried to import my
Quicken 2005 R6 data (QIF). It's a very large file with about 15 years of
data. I also tried a smaller version of the same data, with only the last 12
months of data in the file. I also 'validated' the data in quicken before
trying the import.

On every attempt, the wizard gives the following error. "Your Quicken file
could not be converted". No details. I also get the error pretty quickly,
so I don't think it's going very far into the convert process before giving
up.

Any ideas on this? The knowledge base doesn't say anything about it.

No way I'll convert this data "account by account" or start over.
