Frank,

Thanks for your input. However, the OP is not having any problems with
quote updates!

It's more of a problem than what you think. It started about a month ago. It
is something to do with accessing the servers that keep stock quotes. I ran
into it with MSN money on http://moneycentral.msn.com which gives the same
error. I tried to get help from MS tech support but it was useless. They
said there is nothing wrong with anything.

On MSN Money Network Status
http://moneycentral.msn.com/common/networkstatus.asp early December had the
latest "recent event" saying there was a problem with the servers that kept
stock quotes but a few days later this "recent event" disappeared. A log
file of errors is supposed to be a permanent record but someone removed
this.

It appears to be updating stocks overnight with no daily changes. If you
look at the quotes you should see the closing price from the previous day
even though this error message happens.

I've been having the same problem. I posted here a week ago and have had no
help. Not that it's been much help in the past buy perhaps a Problem Report
to MS would yield something helpful.

Fitz,

If the version number of the last 2004 Deluxe build matches yours, I
wouldn't worry about it. MS won't be updating 2004 any further. Now
all you need is a 2004 user out there to post their version number.
Anyone?

Regards,
JB

Default Money Updates?

When reading the call summary messages, I noticed that under the paragraph
"Money Updates":

"Your last call encountered an error: (date/time) An unknown error has
occurred. Please try the operation again. If the problem persists, please
reinstall Money from your original product disks."

This has been happening for about 2 weeks now. I've uninstalled and
reinstalled three times. On each of those occasions, the first time I
update, all goes well. Subsequent times give me the above error message.
Quotes and accounts all download fine...just the Money Updates fail. Any
ideas? I thank you in advance.
