| Trouble is, the program has always worked until just recent, so this issue is something brand new. WAMU says this as well, something MS did recently in some update presumably. As I said, I suspect it has to do with some critical update but I don't know. There are bound to be a zillion users out there with exactly the sam problem, you would think MS would get off its collective butt and fix it. If you, for example, had AT&T, the OFX file should actually contain AT&T instead. You could use a text editor to examine the OFX file. To see how to get the OFX file if you are doing direct download, which I believe WAMU provides, see http://support.microsoft.com/kb/911941/en-us If you used to have SBC stock, you could now find yourself owning AT&T stock recently. Or perhaps you recently dined at Max & Ermas. The institution should "escape" the ampersand with the five-character sequence. |

| I have MS Money 2004 which has worked fine with WAMU online banking downloads until just recently. I have been informed that some upgrade that MS pushed now prevents the & from being downloaded (either in the file name or in the file itself). The work around offered by WAMU is to download specific dates that do not have that filename in them. So the problem is with MS (per usual). I have no idea what I downloaded to make it start doing this. I suspect it is some critical update. I cannot find any information on any of the MS webpages which might offer a solution. Has anyone out there solved this problem?? Thanks! |
