I have Microsoft Money running on my hp680. Money stopped supporting the HPC platfform after 2001. So in order to run Money 2003 I would have to run it on either the Dell or the 680. So at the moment I run Money 2000 and use Quicken along with pocket quicken on the Dell. BTW, I just heard about a new problem. If you upgrade to PPC 2003 there is no provision for Money yet. ------------ To send me e-mail exorcise NO Spam from my e-mail address. -----= Posted via Newsfeeds.Com, Uncensored Usenet News =----- http://www.newsfeeds.com - The #1 Newsgroup Service in the World! -----== Over 80,000 Newsgroups - 16 Different Servers! =----- |

If the demo is Deluxe, it is not representative for Canada. If the> website? I am going to download it, just wondering ahead of time. demo is Standard, it is very representative except it does not include the sound and video help files. Deluxe will not work in a Canadian mode. Standard takes its mode from the regional settings. If you install Money and don't like it sufficiently, you can revert back to Quicken. Both application will [should] work. However the last-installed will be associated with file types such as QIF. Reinstalling the other application should re-associate the file types with that tool. Or you could manually set the file types, but that is a lot of work. |

| Steve, I'm bored, so I'll tell you what I think. I've never used quicken, hope I don't ever have to. I just haven't heard that much good about it. Money sounds pretty inexpensive compared to quicken too.....so thats good. - quote - > 3. Can I import my Quicken file into Money easily?
No. If it doesn't work.Yes. If it works. Try running the validate and the super validate in quicken before you transfer it to money....you might get better results. (Of course make a copy of your data file(s) before you do that. - quote - > 4. How representative is the demo download which is available on the
Fully funcational.....for 60 days.Money > website? I am going to download it, just wondering ahead of time. The "Trial" that you download from the Money website is the application. Brian |

| Morning all, I've had it with Quicken (Canada). I've read many posts from this newsgroup and I'm encouraged that there is a cheaper alternative to the $99 upgrade just to download mutual fund quotes for one year. So basically I would like a few questions answered that were not answered on the Money website. 1. Maybe a bit to general, but are these two programs really that different in functioning. It seems that Money took the Quicken framework and built on it. 2. I want to download mutual fund/stock/currency quotes for as long as I run this software (well at least more than one year), does Money do this well without any issues. 3. Can I import my Quicken file into Money easily? 4. How representative is the demo download which is available on the Money website? I am going to download it, just wondering ahead of time. Thanks in advance for any input. Any rants about how crappy Quicken is are accepted! Thanks, Steve. |
