It appears that if I initiate a credit card payment as a result of balancing the credit card account, it initiates in the credit card account as a positive number. If I initiate it in the bills list as a payment out of checking, it's negative. -- Chris Cowles Gainesville, FL |

| The estimation will only occur if you have entered the bills through the bills/deposits area and they appear in the Bills history (not just the Money database). You can find the bills history on the bills/deposits page, on the left linked from the option 'view history'. When you first create a new bill, there will be no history on which to base the bill figure. -- Glyn Simpson, Microsoft MVP - Money http://money.mvps.org Check http://money.mvps.org/faq/default.aspx for tips and fixes for MS Money. | I'm trying to set up a budget, and some of the categories in my budget include bills from the bills summary... this is good... Some of the bills that I have setup have varying amounts each month... so I try to choose "estimate because the amount varies" and "estimate based upon..." - so that the average payment to this bill will be the budgeted amount in the budget... But the "estimating" does not work... I have to enter a number and this is the amount that is used in the budget... I have 4 months of history in the database... Can anyone help? It seems these two "estimating" options are useless?! Thanks... |
