I'm not sure how much they care about Money 06 or 07 users, either.

No,

It works once after an uninstall and re-install. I guess the there is
little chance that Microsoft gives a S--- about Money 04 users and less
chance that there will be aby updates. As long as my qoutes, bank and
brokereage and bill pay accounts are updating I've decided to ignore the
problem. I'm not sure what I will do next year when three years is up and
online stops working. I spent several weeks and countless hours with MS
support trying to make my accounts work with MS Money 2006. After many many
hours and failure after failure they gave up and told me I could apply for a
refund of purchase price. I'm sure glad that their operating system support
is better!

I'm not sure that Intuits Quicken support is any better based on my previous
experience with their tax software. There is always paper and pencil!

Good luck, Al

Hey Al,

The same thing is happening to me. I did the reinstall and an ununstall and
reinstall and, after one normal update, the message reappears. I wish hI
knew what was going on. Have you had any break throughs?

Six days later and the error that I previously reported has re-appeared. I
did an uninstall of Money 2004 and a reinstall again and the problem has
been corrected.

I have made no software or system changes, my firewall and antivirus are
reporting no problems. Windows XP is uptodate with the latest changes from
MS

Can anyone give me a pointer as to what might be happening?

Thanks, Al

I solved my problem by doing a complete un-install of Money 2004 and then
installing Money 2004 as a new install. A re-install did not do it.

Default Money 2004 - "An unknown error has occurred...."

Recently I have been getting an error message for Money Updates that says:
"Your last call encountered an error....."
"An unknown error has occurred. Please try the operation again. If problem
persists, reinstall Money...."

After retrying for several days I did the re-install and I am getting the
same error message.
All other Credit card, brokerage, bank updates and bill pay are working OK.

Any ideas?

Thanks, Al
