| Sorry, missed some key data, I suppose. This is Money 2006 premium, with my MS Passport on the file. Here is how I would use my old Money file - I could open Money at any time and I had a core group of accounts (8-9 of them) that were 'connected'. I could go straight to the register of any of these accounts and they would be up-to-date, meaning that any transaction that occured on the account in the last 24 hours was already in the register, highlighted in bold and waiting for me to accept it. I did not have to prompt for these downloads, they just happened. I could then go to the Bills manager and pay bills, and go to the register for my primary checking account and enter a new entry with an 'ePay' or 'aPay' as a part of the transaction. Once I entered the payee and the amount pressing Enter would then upload this transaction to my billpay account, and the payment was good to go, processed by MSN billpay. So two of my primary checking accounts had both features enabled. Now, to setup a new Money file I start with a blank file, with no accounts. My MSN Billpay already has the two checking accounts still set up. If I try to create new accounts directly in Money that represent the checking accounts Money perceives them as different accounts from what is setup in billpay. When I initially associate my passport to the account Money asks if I would like to auto setup the accounts based on what's online - if I take that route the accounts get created so they match what is online but then I have no way to 'attach' them to my bank to get the transactions as they happen. Does that help? One account is with Addison Avenue Credit Union, and the other is with the Technology Credit Union, both located here in the Bay Area, CA. And finally, I dont have to use Billpay, but when I initially setup my Money file it was right there so I used it. Is there a better way? Thakns for all your help! | Hi all, After 4+ years of using MS Money for my finances I ran into a glitch in November, which after spending many hours on the phone with MS support have determinted that my best course of action is to create a new Money file and rebuild my accounts. (ugly story for later if you want to hear it) Ive got multiple accounts that grab their transactions from the bank or brokerage or credit card company on a daily basis to populate the register. Two of those bank accounts are the ones configured with MSN Billpay to actually pay my bills. When I create a new blank Money account locally I discovered that I cannot create the connection to my bank for these two accounts that have both features enabled - the ones I create locally now dont match the ones that exist online so I get two accounts. (Im using an MS passport). So I created a blank file yet again and asked to pull the account info that was online. Now I have the two accounts in my new blank money file that can be used for billpay but I cannot set them up for daily transaction downloading. I was headed down the path of creating a connection to my bank for the transactions and then trying to merge the account that is billpay enabled with the account linked to my bank. Will this work? For both accounts I need both features - billpay ability and transactions downloading. I cant make both work with this new file. Im to the point where Im think that I need to actually delete the accounts from billpay and completely start from scratch - but then I need to recreate all my payments! Yuck. Isnt there a way I can re-establish these accounts so they download daily transactions from their respective banks AND they can be used in conjunction with billpay? Any help is hugely appreciated!!!
