Thanks, when i was looking at it (although i havent tried it yet) is
when i went to file export it semmed to want to export the whole file,
and not specific accounts. i will try it, but do you know, does it
prompt you to select what account you would like to export at a later
step?

File-> Export each account

File-> Import (as a new or recovered account) all at once. The all at
once thing is probably not important if you are only doing the
investment accounts, but it won't hurt.

Keep extra copies as you go, in case you want to undo at some point
in the process. Also note that the symbols are not included in the
QIF files, so you will probably want to print those out so that they
are handy to enter by hand.

Default Export Investoment Trans

I am looking to start fresh with a totaly new money file at the sart of
the new year, it should be really easy for all the accounts expect for
my investment accounts. Is there a way that i can export the investment
transaction? i dont really care all that much about the cash trans
(although it would be nice to have) but i dont want to go back and
enter in a couple hundred transactions just to get back up to speed.
