Either they lost the UPC bar code you sent or the sales receipt did not
identify the software
completely (cashier did it off-line or was not in the system). I suspect
the rebate processor enters the numbers and hopefully gets a hit. Otherwise
they just write the message on the screen.
I'd take the copy of the receipt back to the store and have them fix it.

now after almost 2 month I get a letter from Costco's rebate center telling
me my application is incomplete due to "missing SKU". It says in order to
recieve my rebate I need to submit the missing Item.I do not understand what
SKU is. Where in the package I can find it.
