| Thanks, Cal. You're suggestion about enterring to cash transactions, plus Dick's reference to the thread helped. | Thanks for referring me to the thread. This helped me figure out what I needed to do, and enhanced the value of Money to me! Appreciate the time you took to reply. | See if the thread "how to show taxes in checking from ira distribution" from last week gives you any ideas. Without more understanding of the cash flow, it's hard to say, but what comes to mind is that somewhere there is cash going to the exercise. You can expense some taxes there. You don't need a Paycheck. | When following the directions for exercising a stock option, I don't see anyway to record the taxes (federal and state) that were withheld when I exercised the option. There is a field (when selecting the Exercise & Sell activity) for recording Commission, but nothing for taxes. Since my paychecks are setup so that whatever taxes are withheld are recorded in Tax accounts (and so enables me to monitor whether I'm having enough taxes withheld through the tax reports), I'd like to be able to do the same thing when I record the exercise of a stock option. Any thoughts? |
