| I have found MS Money 2005 and 2006 (US versions) support at least some Canadian banks via web download, though not direct access. I live in the US with mostly US accounts, but have Canadian accounts with the Bank of Montreal and also HSBC Canada. Both work fine if you login to their web site and click on download to MS Money. The US version handles the Canadian dollars well. I also found that the US versions of Quicken 2004 and 2005 **cannot** do this -- it seems to be that Quicken calls home to see whether the bank is licensed from Quicken to download that way. Presumably the Canadian version would allow direct access. -- Lane Bishop "Jason M" <jspmcatcher at hotmail dot com> wrote in message news:efnXP9fAGHA.2912[at]tk2msftngp13.phx.gbl... - quote - > Thanks Bob. > That's what I thought about the upgrades, just thought I'd ask though. > As for standard, with the removal of cash flow from standard, that means > that we can no longer even purchase that feature even if we were willing > to! > I tried asking their money support email about this, and while they were > very friendly and all, their initial suggestion was to buy the US deluxe > version - but upon further questioning, they later conceded that it would > probably not support my Canadian banks online service. | Thanks Bob. That's what I thought about the upgrades, just thought I'd ask though. As for standard, with the removal of cash flow from standard, that means that we can no longer even purchase that feature even if we were willing to! I tried asking their money support email about this, and while they were very friendly and all, their initial suggestion was to buy the US deluxe version - but upon further questioning, they later conceded that it would probably not support my Canadian banks online service. | Sorry standard is all you get in Canada. At least you've got a 2006 version - in the UK we are stuck on 2005! :-( No there are no upgrades available. I guess the argument is that Money is so cheap anyway they don't want the hassle of managing an upgrade version. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for. | Hello all.. A question regarding Canadian Editions.. I have Money 2004 Standard Canadian Edition. I was considering upgrading to 2006 Standard until I found out Microsoft butchered it by removing the Cash Flow Forecast feature from the standard edition. (presumably to force people to buy Deluxe instead). However, from what I can find online, there is only one Canadian edition - Standard - there is no Deluxe. If this is the case, then this now means that if you are Canadian, you can NOT get the cash flow feature at ALL. NICE. THANK YOU M$. Can anyone confirm this? Is there a Canadian Deluxe edition? Additionally, is there an 'upgrade' license for Money available? Seems all there is are 'full' products for sale, so you end up with a money 2004 license and a money 2006 license, both of which you paid full price for. Thanks in advance for any info |
