Default Re: Chase Bank no longer fully supports any version of MS Money

Fred,
I was a Bank One customer prior to the merger and am now a Chase
Customer. I have always found the Bank One interface to Money to work
great. In regards to it not pulling down the depositor I think you
might have some bad info?? My wife is on direct deposit from her
company and Money properly downloads her company name for those
transactions. The only transactions that I don't get name information
on is hand written checks which is of course understandable.

Huntington offers direct connect and web connect for both transaction
downloads and billpayments. Diret connect is at a minimal fee of $2.95 per
month for personal accounts, and includes unlimited connections, and
unlimited bill payments.

CItibank only supports Quicken but they do support full OFX standards.
Citibank downloads the correct payee and memo and check number info for
all ACH/Checks and ATM Card useage. The serive is free if you maintain
over $10K between all linked account. Service support both direct
download and direct bill pay.

On your ATM Card tho it will download store name as payee and under
memo will download either "Pin Transaction" or "Signature Transaction"
and the appovel code.

Citibank offically does not support MS Money direct downloads. So not
sure how Yodlee shows or imports the info from Citibank into MS Money.
I switched from MS Money 2004 to Quicken 2006 just because Citibank
only support direct connection with Quicken. The service works great it
is provided by a company called Checkfree.

I don't know how good any of these banks are, but they are some of
the ones with OFX servers.

Default Chase Bank no longer fully supports any version of MS Money

I know it sounds like doom and gloom, but I have spent the last week
researching this and what I have found out about Chase Bank is quite
disappointing.

Through the merger with Bank One, Chase Bank has decided to cutover to the
Bank One online banking systems - These systems do support OFX download, if
thats your bag baby, but they no longer fully support direct download.

While direct download from within Money still works, not all fields come
down, ie if your employer pays in your salary, the deposit entry will just
appear as "payment', it will not include the name of the direct depositor -
which is a huge problem if you get more more one payment a month. In 12
conversations I have had with Chase it appears that they know about this, but
it will take over a year to solve....

I cannot wait that long, so anyone have a recommendation ?
Perhaps BOA ? It seems they are the only bank left that supports PFM
software, even then it seems to depend which state you are in...
