| Gave it a run through tonight. When I got to step 4, copied the file, and tapped to run setup it did run normally. Prompted me to remove the previous version (presumably the version still in setup limbo from the earlier steps.) All that finished, it still gives me the window that says "Reading Device Databases" when I redock to sync the Money data. I uninstalled the app from the device again and it's back to syncing normal, no harm done. I'm left to assume that this app simply won't work on the new version of the O/S. I appreciate the suggestions, though! You've been very helpful. I'll have to keep my eye on the product page to see if any news of an update gets posted. | I'll give that a try. Thanks for the tip. Just to clarify - Do I want to run the Pocket Money setup for 2003, or 2004 that matches my desktop client software? Thought I'd better double check that before trying it out. Thanks again. Gregg "Michael Gordon, MVP" <gordonm[at]denison.edu> wrote in message news:OuRphHD%23FHA.2176[at]TK2MSFTNGP09.phx.gbl... | Money 2004 on the desktop. I did try to download a copy of v 2006 for the pocketpc to see if it would work any better, but it balked cuz I didn't have the 2006 software on the PC. Was wondering if the 2006 version would work better on the v5 device before I purchased the upgrade. For further clarification of what's happening - v2004 of Pocket Money installs ok, but with a message on the screen that it may not work properly because it was designed for a previous version of Windows Mobile. When I redock the device, I get a window showing it's attempting to read the databases, and it just sits there. Thanks for the assist! | I recently upgraded to a new Windows Mobile v5 device. It's great - But I can't get Pocket Money (v2004) to install and sync properly on the new O/S. I really miss having this software on my device. Are any of the newer versions of Pocket Money compatible w/ the new mobile O/S? Microsoft's support site and Windows Mobile product pages don't have much to say about v5. Just curious. Thanks! |
