Default Re: Mortgage in Money 2000

There's not a way to do this in any of the US versions and I'm pretty sure
not in any of the non-US versions. I don't think you'll be able to do it
with a Loan Account and the automagically calculated payments and interest
amounts. OTOH, it's really simple to setup a scheduled payment with a split
just like a Loan Payment with a Transfer (fixed amount of principal) to a
Liability account and an interest expense component. You'd have to adjust
the value of that from statements or the schedule from the bank--surely they
tell you how much they want each month or Excel.

Default Mortgage in Money 2000

Hello all,

I recently took a mortgage, to buy a property. In Belgium, there are 2 ways
to pay back the loan
1: you can pay every month the same total (principal + interest) amount (the
way Money does it)
2: you can pay the same amount of the principal, and a different amount of
interest each month

I chose the 2nd method, which means my monthly payments shrink each month
(only a bit of course). But how do i put this into MS Money 2000?
Anyone got or had the same problem?

Thanks for your help!
Kind regards,
Erik Beugnies.
