| Don, I just disovered the same problem (I'm using Money 2003, Wachovia is going to end support.) Based on what I've read on this group, there's a lot of problems with M2006. Not necessarily unique to Wachovia, but the impression I get is that M2006 is a really awful piece of software. Am I only hearing the bad things? | You might have to contact Wachovia to find out when they're going to stop supporting Money 03. I've used Money since it first came out and currently have Money 04. I bank with a credit union, have a credit card through Wachovia, and 5 brokerage accounts with Waterhouse. All work fine in Money 04. All accounts download into Money 04 and I use the credit union to pay bills, etc. I do not use a Passport with money. Hope that helps a little bit anyway as I've not used Money 05 or 06. *** "John" <flgator85[at]hotmail.com> wrote in message news:%23sQv5lU9FHA.3592[at]TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl... - quote - > I am running Money 2003 and using Wachovia online to pay my bills. I've been a Wachovia customer since they bought FirstUnion in Florida, and> received a message that Wachovia is not going to support Money 2003 soon. > Does anyone when the support will stop? Should I upgrade to Money 2006 or > should I find Money 2005? I also download from FirstUSA, Discover, TD > Waterhouse, and Fidelity. What do the experts recommend? used online banking all that time. I also am connected to FirstUSA, Discover, and Fidelity. Using 2006 Deluxe, I have no problems. I have no experience with TD Waterhouse. Download the 2006 trial and check it out. You can maintain both versions, including downloading in both. Epays and Apays are a different issue. I suggest you attempt creation and maintenance of those in only one version, probably 2006. Rolling back isn't hard but, since Wachovia is cutting off 2003, I don't know why you would. Discuss your plans with Wachovia support, as well. I recall one point in history where upgrading a version redirected my account to a different server, or something like that. Rolling back meant creating a different online ID so Wachovia could point me back to the older version server. If memory serves me well, Money 2003 was kind of a dog, in terms of speed. I think 2004 improved in that respect. 2005/6 are somewhat slower than 2004 but I'm satisfied with 2006. I think in comparison to 2003, you won't find the speed difference significant unless you're using an older machine. The memory requirements (for reasonable performance) are probably higher. That said, I recently did a complete file rebuild by exporting everything to QIF, then reimporting to 2006. Without having done that, 2006 performance was unacceptably slow. Having done that made a huge difference. My interpretation is there were data flaws that repair couldn't fix. Also, reimporting QIF files seems to have ditched a lot of unnecessary baggage from my several years' worth of data. I don't miss it. I do not archive. Reimporting was a significant job that is not to be taken lightly. It doesn't seem to be necessary for most users. |

| I am running Money 2003 and using Wachovia online to pay my bills. I received a message that Wachovia is not going to support Money 2003 soon. Does anyone when the support will stop? Should I upgrade to Money 2006 or should I find Money 2005? I also download from FirstUSA, Discover, TD Waterhouse, and Fidelity. What do the experts recommend? Thanks for any input. John |
