One problem with wishes is that people want opposite things. While you want
less security, somehow Microsoft got convinced to XXXX out account numbers
on the account list page. Go figure.

Hi Chris,

Does MS have a "wish list" anywhere for this product, so people can
input there "likes and dislikes" about Money. I like the program, but
I'd really like to see it work without so much security, it is not
needed for some people, like me What I did was switch from Quicken a
little over a year ago because I was basically tired of Quicken
upgrade offers. With Money there was a nice rebate plus a rebate with
there partnered tax software which was great for me. I hope they have
some offer at the end of this year. Quicken and Money have there
differences but still produced the same results for me, but you could
get automatic downloads with one "click", to open the program.

You have a choice of either starting the program with a password, or
updating by clicking the mouse twice. That's simply how MS created it.

"Remember" simply means you don't have to enter individual password for each
bank. The second click gives you an opportunity to select or deselect
individual banks in the list about to be updated. Yes, people choose to do
that. I do, at least occasionally.

What i want is to start the program without using a password, and have
all my updates completed without a single click. If i use MS passport
it does what i want, but i still have to "second" click to open the
program, even though i have it to "remember" my password.

directly. After setting it up, you have to initiate the update, but it's
only 2 mouse clicks. I've been using online banking extensively since 1998
and do not use a Passport. I did try it out but found no benefit for me.

If you attempt to set up online banking for a particular bank, and Money
starts talking about a Passport, that bank does not support direct online
banking. In that case, you either have to activate a Passport, or go to the
bank's website to download OFX or QIF files. (That assumes the bank offers
that function.)

Hello All,

The way I understand automatic schedule updates/downloads that it is
only available when using MS passport. If so, is there anyway to get
around without using MS passport and still receive scheduled automatic
updates and downloads?
