will now redo the splits.
chris, to answer your question - i download my statements from the banks and
then break up the expense in money using categories.

It would never have occurred to me to "enter" transactions this way but
there is, indeed, a difference in behavior between M04 and M06 (M05?) in
this regard. My assumption is that the OP was editing an already entered
(presumably downloaded) transaction to add the splits. The OP apparently
thought entering the splits and then a Done followed by clicking on some
other transaction (no explicit Enter) would actually enter the change. In
M04 it appears this would be the case. In M06 it isn't.

No. There isn't any other place it would store that data.

I just lost a ton of my split transactions in Money 2006 since this
"advanced" piece of software required me to click 'enter' upon leaving the
splits screen. I dont have the receipts anymore and I am trying my luck here
to see if this information can be recovered.
