| No you have to use normal Windows file handling. Browse to the file with Windows Explorer or My Computer, right click on the file and select Rename. Don't forget to retain the .mny suffix or Money won't open the file in future. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny. I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for. Yes, on both counts.> spaces between words when naming or renaming a file?....I have always heard > that it's better leave no spaces in file names. I would not put a space on my Money file. The reasons include that I would have to enclosed the name into double quotes to refer to it. Now if I only browsed to the file, and never type the name, that would not be a consideration. Also, some older apps may not be able to handle the name that way. In the case of a Money file, that is probably not a problem. |

| That goes back to DOS days when it couldn't cope with spaces and thought that anything after the space was a second file name. So Bob Peel.mny was regarded by early DOS/Windows as two files - one named Bob and one named Peel.mny. History lesson over - you can use spaces but as there is always a possibility (but not with your .mny file!!) that you might want to swap files with someone still using Windows 3.1 you perhaps ought to use an underscore as Bob_Peel.mny. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For UK tips & fixes see http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny.
