Mycheckfree looks like it only for eBills, not for any bill. However, for years as a Quicken user I had a checkfree account that I could deal directly with Checkfree, even when there was no obviously way to get that type of account from Quicken or the Checkfree web site. They actually had an 800 number staffed with helpful people! I only switched off Quicken when they stopped supporting QIF file. TM |

| I'm no expert in this, so forgive any ignorance exposed by the following questions. Are you saying that an M04/5/6 user who sets up a new MSN Bill Pay account will be unable to do so in any way that is directly integrated with the local Money application and that such a setup would only be via MSN Money on the Web (which just happens to be able to sync back with your local Money copy)? Will such a user be able to enter an epay transaction in their local Money register and sync it with the web after which the bill pay service pays it? Or is a separate web session directly with MSN Bill Pay involved--i.e., little or no value-add from the local copy of Money? It sounds like the camel is going another step beyond merely sticking its nose in the tent. To mix a metaphor, it's another handful of nails in the coffin of Money as a standalone app installed on your machine and under your control. That's not to say I don't understand and, at some level, appreciate, their motive... I was incorrect in that statement. To continue to do the access to> interface, and will not require that you have a Passport or roaming > set up on your file. MSN Bill Pay via Microsoft Money, you will need a Passport on your file, and you will need Roaming enabled. Also, the ability to do that will only apply to pre-existing accounts (your account is grandfathered), and that ability will not apply to new accounts set up for MSN Bill Pay accounts. For those new accounts, you will NOT be able to download it into existing versions of Money. You will only be able to use MSN Bill Pay on the web. If you currently have MSN Bill Pay working, change your password as directed. But don't disable it for online access in your Money file. |

Even before that, having roaming and a Passport does quite put your data "on the web" as a public site. While roaming makes your data accessible via browser, it is a secure connection like what you have to your bank's website. |

| Cal, thanks, but I guess I am not understanding the process, as when I checked this, the setup button was grayed out and I do not want to sync. I do not want to access from any computer nor do I want any of my history shown there either. I was unaware that this was there until I went to the BillPay site due to the recent changes to the Bill pay process.
