| I don't recall that setting, but that's more than ten versions ago. I suspect that it was the last version that could do it. The interface was completely redone in M95 (M v.4). I certainly agree that it's a significant weakness in the product. "L. | The reason I started with this question (how to increase font size) is that my previous version (3) does have a simple option to change the font size. It is under Tools> Options> General> where font size can be set to 'Standard'or 'Large'. with the screen DPI setting on Regarding the monitor size comments my previous monitor is a 19"CRT and the new monitor is a 17"LCD with the screen DPI setting on 'Large size 120 DPI' I guess while one usualy gets improvements with upgrades sometimes we also lose features. :-( Peter S. ***** "Dick Watson" <littlegreengecko[at]mind-enufalready-spring.com> wrote in message news:eDDVdpw7FHA.2176[at]TK2MSFTNGP14.phx.gbl... - quote - > Well, this is the 14th version they've released with essentially the same > limitation. | Well, this is the 14th version they've released with essentially the same limitation. I'm not sure what more you are looking for from us. We just use the thing. Just like you. | None of this makes sense to me. You should be able to go into any program and change the fonts. You should not have to globally change the font for your whole system just to get a larger font in Money. Nor buy a larger monitor or change the resolution. I can't belive MS developed a "new and improved" program in which you can't change the font. It just doesn't make sense. The ways I think are available are> react to system font. Apparently not. 1. Buy a bigger monitor. I know you are going to find that a stupid suggestion, but think about it. You deserve it. But do you have the space for a 22 inch monitor, or the Money for a 20-inch LCD? The LCD is only going to help if it has bigger pixels. 2. Switch to a lower resolution if using a glass monitor. i.e., if using 1280 by 1024, switch to 1024 by 768. This is least satisfactory IMHO. 3. On a blank spot on the desktop, right click and choose Properties-> Settings-> Advanced change the DPI setting to a higher number. This will have some downside too. You will have to experiment, and change back if you find the downside to outweigh the upside. - quote - > "char78" <char78[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:BCEEC2CE-624B-4AE1-BA14-056750067276[at]microsoft.com... > > How would you change the font size globally? | You can change the resolution. I haven't tried it, but I thought it would react to system font. Apparently not. | How would you change the font size globally? I had previously changed my font size to large(start, control panel , display ) and the font in money did not change at all . Is there something else to change? I also have an older version which has a larger font and I like it better. | I'm not sure what older version you had. The only way to change font size is to change it globally for the whole system. Money reacts to the system font. It has no other control over font size except in reports and check printing. "L. | I have MS Money ver 14 and find the font size far too small, is there a way to increase the size? The older version I used for years did have this feature but so far I have not found it in the new one. TIA |
