I have been getting frequent install dialogs popping up with something
similar to the following that seems to be related to my trouble upgrading
Money.

(from the event log)
Detection of product '{E7298FD5-1386-11D5-8D6C-0050DAD32D95}', feature
'feat.Program' failed during request for component
'{F384A307-E20F-11D4-8CC5-0050DAD32D95}'

Detection of product '{CF5193F7-6B37-11D5-B7D2-00AA00A204F1}', feature
'feat.SystemPerm', component '{BEE21E0C-FD0A-11D2-B6BD-00105A088DB0}' failed.
The resource '緀:\WINNT\System32\msxml3.dll' does not exist.

Whatever is causing the above events also must be preventing me from
re-installing/upgrading Money? What is left on my system after I've already
deleted everything Money related? How should I proceed?

Now, while attempting to install Money 2006 (webinst.exe) I am getting an
error "Money bootstrapper has encountered an error and needs to close. This
occurs after it sems that most of the programs are extracted.

How do I get around this?

found kb article 886567 so I tried to remove all the money files manually,
but there is one file mnyviewer.dll that always says it's in use, even after
I boot with the lowest number of startup services (from msconfig)

I tried installing Money 2006 over top of it, and it errored out., I am
thinking because of this file being "in use"

How can I get rd of this file so I can re-install Money?
