| I updated to Money SB 2k6, and it isn't doing it...yet. Not that I think it will or not, but time will tell. |

As I said to Susan, that would make it more of a PITA. I already track 5> deposits' and deposit the individual checks to it. The problem I described doesn't happen *every* time. It's consistently random, in fact. :-\ I do this every few weeks (deposit multiple checks, that is.) I routinely get a downloaded entry for the one lump sum, then tell Money 2k5 SB to match them up to the individual entries, and everything works fine - except when Money thinks it hasn't matched the transaction, and keeps downloading it. And I still can't figure out the issue with invoices and receiving payment, but I just got Money 2K6 SB and I'll try that. |

Then, when you make a deposit to the bank, make a single deposit categorized as a transfer from 'pending deposits'. Assuming you're receiving and recording payments on invoices or something like that, the payments can be recorded in the pending deposits account until you've accrued enough to go to the bank with. | I can't answer all your questions, but I do have a tip for you. If you fill out a different deposit slip for each check, they will download as separate transactions, even if you do them all at once. This makes reconciliation much easier, especially if some of them are paychecks. | I may have asked this before, but I searched and can't find my previous post (if I did indeed make one.) I'm running Money SB 2k5, and I have several check deposits per month. I list them individually in the register (more on that later, as there's a bug there too!), but deposit them all to the bank at once, so my bank shows one large deposit. When I do the online update, Money shows the large deposit, and I manually match it up with the correct checks. When I click "accept" on one of them, they all get accepted. When I do an update again, this happens all over again. Usually it stops after 5 or 10 times. Also, when I create an invoice and then receive payment, I mark the invoice paid, and the corresponding entry shows up in the register. When I deposit the check, it won't match up to the acount register (the check box is grayed out.) So I have to mark the invoice "void" and manually create an entry for the invoice patyment, so I can match it up to the downloaded transaction. Anyone got any ideas? Did I make any sense? |
