| Well Nov2nd updates were mostly there. Not so today at 4 PST. Looks like back to zero with updates. All fund prices and change screwed up. | I get new quotes, but the 'total change' field doesn't update for 1 item some days. Works other days for the same account. | I have had this problem with 2005 and 2006. No resolution except as you say, update manually. THEY DON'T CARE!!!!!!!!!!! | I'm not sure they are fully aware of the problem.. Here's the email I received from support: -------------------------------------- To give the most accurate support possible, I would like to give a brief summary of the issue as I understand it: The "Change", "% Change" and "Today's total change" values does not update for all mutual funds in Microsoft Money. If I have misunderstood, please feel free to let me know. Thank you for taking the time to report this to us. We have received similar feedback from other customers pertaining to this symptom. After checking the quotes page on our MSN Money web site, I found that the last updated time for several mutual funds is around 10/26/05 06:00 PM ET. According to t he information delivered by our Product Group on Oct, 29th, this issue results from the incorrect date association with the latest quote. Actually, the quotes has been updated, however, the incorrect date is displayed on the website. That is to say, the price is updated but it has the 10/26 date as sociated to it instead of 10/28. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. At this time, I suggest we manually correct the quote record in MSN Money Portfolio/Microsoft Money. Below are the detailed steps: Re-enter the quote with the correct date in the Portfolio ============================================ 1. Open Money and access Portfolio Manager. 2. Highlight the mutual fund in the Portfolio and click Update prices on the left control panel and then select Update prices manually. 3. Highlight the quote for Oct, 26th, and input the correct quote on 26th and then click Update. Note: To find the correct quote on 26th, please access http://moneycentral.msn.com/investor...me.asp?Funds=1 and enter the symbol to view the historical quote. If the quotes are unavailable in the Chart, we can also access http://finance.yahoo.com/q/hp?s=CAIBX and input the symbol to view the historical prices. Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information. I understand that process may be a little time-consuming if there are a lot of mutual funds in your Portfolio. I appreciate your time and effort on this. ---------------------------- Note the suggestion to go to Yahoo.com.. Classic ![]() Anyway as far as I can tell, this suggestion doesn't do anything anyway, since at least for me, a few of my mutual funds ARE bringing in the latest value, but the "total change" still isn't being calculated. And for the rest of my funds, I do get price, but not % change, or total change. Inputting the current price doesn't seem to do anything since it seems to already be there. -Dan Chuck Leven wrote: - quote - > Many thanks, Cal. | Yes, at first I didn't think so, but then I checked closer and yes, the prices were being updated as was the total at the bottom of the page. Just no change in the column "Today's change" for mutual funds. It would truly suck to have to update each manually, as you know. ![]() |

| Sure they didn't convene a focus group to discover that Most Users Prefer(tm) it "working" this way? Maybe they'll declare it a feature and call it Essential Quotes? This has been working for the 5 years I've been using Money; investment tracking is one of the prime reasons I use it. I really hope MS takes care of this.. |
